Our Story

The Lazy Volunteer was started from a "grass roots" desire of a group of individuals who want to make a
difference and give back to the community.  While the name of the organization is unique the origin is far
from what it suggests. The name actually came from a concern that volunteering was somehow being
replaced by writing a check and forgetting about the need.  While the check is always important and very
much appreciated getting active in the community is essential to it's prosperity.

The goal of this organization is to not only give back to the community in fun and creative ways but to also
promote and encourage others to become and remain active in their communities.
